The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has stated that "our will is not to increase the tax burden of citizens, at this time when the people of Salou must face the current situation." In this way, "from the municipal government, we are sensitive to the recovery of family economies and economic sectors."
For his part, the Councilor for Economic Management and Finance, Yeray Moreno, explained that "despite the disproportionate rise in the CPI, we believe that a technical and political exercise of efficiency and effectiveness should be carried out to offer the same services, or improve them, without a direct affectation to the economy of our citizens.
