La Ganxet Pintxo will bring thirty tapas to Reus from November 3 to 13

Up to 33 different tapas can be tasted by those who come, between November 3 and 13, to the establishments that are part of the Ganxet Pintxo de Tardor 2022. About 15% of them are new compared to the previous edition and those responsible for all have received advice from chef Eva Hausmann. The price remains at 3.5 euros for a tapa plus a fifth or Estrella Damm cane.

This time, the paper guide disappears and all the information can be consulted on the Gastronostefa App and on the gastronosfera.com website. In the premises there will be QR codes to download it and bars and restaurants can be geolocated. The popular vote for the best culinary creations will also be digital for reasons of saving environmental resources and those who participate in it will enter the draw to eat at one of the Michelin Star restaurants in the province of Tarragona. In parallel, a professional jury will decide which are the winners in various categories.

The Estrella Damm prize will be awarded to the tapa that best pairs with beer, the Ganxet Llengua prize from the Center for Linguistic Normalization and the special prize from the Forners' Association to the skewer with the best artisan bread. In addition, the Ciutat de Reus award debuts, which the City Council will award to recognize the quality of the cover and the link with the city's reality.

11 years and 20 editions

The Ganxet Pintxo thus reaches its 11th anniversary and its 20th edition, totally revitalized after the Covid caused some of them to fall. It has joined the financing of the Manotes de la Colla Gegantera de Reus, which will inaugurate the route in the Llotja, and joins the dissemination of the Responsible Food Management program through a party to be held on the 12th in El Pallol. The alliance with the Banc de Sang continues.

The person in charge of the route, Jaume Batista, highlighted that the Ganxet Pintxo "has been consolidated". He stressed that "it emerged in 2011 as a tool in the midst of the economic crisis and has overcome obstacles of the caliber of the pandemic." The 33 proposals of this Tardor 2022 are "of quality" and "value the products of the territory," said Batista, who announced that bars and restaurants will not pay a fee this time to join the route, considering the context of inflation.

The president of the Chamber, Jordi Just, stressed that the Ganxet Pintxo "is the most important tapas route in Catalonia" and the Councilor for Promoció, Montserrat Caelles, highlighted "everyone's participation, the many aspects and the values" that have. And Xavier Tirado, representative of Estrella Damm, advanced that "we have promoted the gastronomic part more than ever."
